FX Breakdown

This breakdown showcases the variety of effects that I created for the animated short Slippery Slope. A lot of the challenges with Slope involved creating different levels of detail for the character’s interactions with the snow- balancing efficiency with what looked the best in each shot. For example, some shots used high-res grain simulations of the character’s skis digging through the snow, whereas others used quicker smoke sims to represent snow being kicked up behind her. Altogether it was super fun to work on. Each shot felt like a little puzzle that I got to solve with a team of great artists.
